Surface quality analysis of AZ31B Mg alloy sheet in ultrasonic-assisted warm single-point incremental forming

چکیده

With a view to improving the surface quality of magnesium (Mg) alloy at warm temperature, ultrasonic-assisted single-point incremental forming (SPIF) is proposed. The Mg during SPIF primarily affected by two parts: orange peel patterns non-contact and scratches adhesive wear contact surface. In this work, AZ31B sheet parts different temperatures ultrasonic amplitudes evaluated examining roughness topography. results show that generation significantly temperature. addition, increase with rising After applying vibration (UV), both surfaces improved, but too large amplitude slightly reduces quality. Moreover, microstructural examination UV has great effect on dynamic recrystallization grain refinement, which positively affects improvement.
